76 imagesReaching youth in and out school with sport and peer Support -Through a broad network of coaches and peer leaders throughout Lesotho, UNICEF is supporting the use of sport to promote and raise HIV awareness among young people. UNICEF is working with the NGO Kick4Life. Using the internationally recognised curriculum Bophelo Ka Lipapali (Good Health through Sport), which has been successfully used across Africa, and has now been tailored for Lesotho, the aim of the programme is to reach both in school and out of school youths. The six to ten-week curriculum aims to engage, educate and mobilize youth through a series of interactive games, activities, and discussions. Focus is on HIV education and developing critical life skills.
